There it is sitting. Is it staring at you or not? No? Don't feel too safe, it's one of the uncomfortable sort.

---

This is the revision of this older deviation.
I didn't like the look of the old version anymore, so I tweaked it a bit.
The only major changes are an additional background layer, a little more waste and I removed the ornaments.

Lately I've been slacking with new imagery, had no ideas at all.
But revising this existing work and starting to listen to Fantomas and Mr Bungle again appearantly kicked in.

Thoughts are appreciated, critique is welcome. Think twice before you submit a one-word comment.

I thought it was a giant squid first, and the tree got me to imagining that those things could live on LAND... :fear:

Hah, that's a clever idea. I always enjoy seeing two juxtaposing elements that don't seem to belong together somehow fused in a way that works.

How very stupid. What does pedophilia have to do with octopuses?

Appropos title. Am watching a similar situation unfold to a friend of mine - and it indeed look like the perpetrator - the tree/octopus - is alike to your imagery: seemingly frail and weak, whereas is really like the octopus at the bottom, can harness and bind its victim and spit out ink to blind its victim to the world outside.
